hi

i was link building with forum signatures

i set font seizes to smallest and text color same as background color

is it important ? has any effect on penalty and seo ?

because one of the 4 sites that is was link building penalized

    Thats something you should never do. Using the same font colour as the background to hide it will cause a trigger in google to block it. Thats a very well known mechanism that was many years ago and of course google reacted.

    thanks @sven so is there any hope if i recheck and clear color tags and resize it can remove penalty ?
