Page Rank Value and Penguin 4

Hi there,
I read on some forum that PR is not useless anymore after Google's Penguin 4.
Will it be wise to enable the PR option ( skip sites with a PR beloww... ) again?
Because in all the guides/videos it says that PR is not working anymore.

PR has always been useful, its just Google stopped releasing it publically so its an internal metric now. I would imagine it is still the result of the algo for assessing power of a page.
