Newbie question - Pause campaign

Hi,
I want to ask if the "stop" after the i start a campaign works like a "pause" or if its stop completely a campaign.
For example, if i want to close my pc and click on "stop" will it pause my campaign so i can continue the next day or will it start from the beginning again?
Another question is how many hours is needed for a campaign to finish in a strong home pc.

    a stop will indeed pasue all and continue where it left off next time.
