Does GSA CB Have to Open to Work?

Do I have to have GSA CB open on my desktop in order for it to work? I forgot to open it this morning and just started running GSA. It looked like it still sent captchas to it but I just wanted to ask the experts here. Do I have to have GSA CB open and running or can I leave it closed? Thanks!

    SER will automatically open it if it's not open already and it's being used as an option to solve captchas.

    In short, it needs to be in open state for captchas to be resolved. GSA SER automatically opens it and there is no need to open it separately.
