Amazon AWS EC2 or a VPS which is better?

Hi,

I am just starting, I was wondering, if I should get a VPS or an EC2 instance in Amazon AWS?

Any suggestions, would be great.

    ec2 costs $0.09/GB for bandwidth iirc.
