GSA Case Study: Site Ranking In 2 Weeks

edited February 2013 in Need Help
Site's got content loaded on Jan18th and Jan 16th respectively.

Now less than 10 days later. they are #1 and #2

looking at ahrefs they just did a massive blasting of about 6k links to tier 1.

any thoughts?

PS just looking at their backlink profile i'm guessing they used automated software like GSA.

Let us know after another week to see if they are still ranked nicely.
  • will do i'm watching with interest.  it's a pretty high converting niche.
  • You should check out some of these health niches this guy is dominating, for example teeth whitening ( he has 10 more niches like this ). Some guy is ranking first page with like 5 different web 2.0 blogs with GSA, maybe its someone from this forum? Lee?
  • haha,  I have a good idea I know who you guys are talking about.  If you can send me a couple more examples sites I'd be able to tell you for sure.

Pm'ed you one of his blogs. However it is, he sure is lazy. He has been ranking first page for all these niches for a month now but still hasn't monetized it.

but this guy is not the teeth whitening guy, this is doing things different, wow he ranked in #2 a redirected domain to a clickbaank offer
  • seems like some kind of blog network to me..

    ultimate article wizard anyone??
    submit your article ??
  • IMHO this should be kept as private info

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Eventually somebody's going to put up a site belonging to somebody here, and that wouldn't be cool.

I think there should be a rule that you should never mention the full URL, maybe. If you added a few ** we would still be able to find it no doubt, but Google wouldn't.

This has thrown up 2 questions from me though:

how do we find their Tier 1 stuff easily? I'd like to know more about Tier 1 content and how many should be created,  like this as a case-study should be interesting;  and

does sven /the software log any of our URLs that we are optimizing? I assume not, but just wondered.
  • Interesting that site is still number 1
  • Just checked this out, goes to show all the bullsh*t Google spews is rubbish. Build a large amount of links and rank no.1!
  • It gives me faith that the system works with just blasting loads of Tier1 links out there... this niche is huge - unless it has died off totally now - it's pretty old I guess...

If you guys are after a site analysis, read this article on a guy hitting the "payday loans" niche

I work with a lot of clients across a broad range of industries and outing sites/methods/niches is never cool, especially since this is a public forum.
  • Outing sites is totally in poor taste .. thanks for the extra backlinks? lol

The case study I posted above, if you read it, also warns of a hacked popular add on for one of the main line blogs
  • @LeeG - it happened to me with a Wordpress widget plugin too.  It was all working fine and once I updated it, it started dropping odd links in my widget :)

    Clever little bast***s!
