Proxy Scraper Always freeze in windows 8.1 x64

Hi

When i run the PS, i dont know why, but the threads not go to 0 after scrape, test, etc... There are always some threads. When its happen, the PS not start new automatic search, and if i want to manually search (or test) the PS freezing, without any error message, only the force close help, and reopen.

Im not sure but I think on the HElp menu I have added a Send Bugreport menu (if not, it will be in next update). Please use that and send the bugreport once it happens again.

How can i send a bugreport, when freezing? After freezed, i can do nothing with the PS, only the force close help....

oh you mean not only threads do not drop but GUI freezes?

Now its happenned again.... The thread freezes.... I want to open a bug report, and opened, but when i click send nothing happenned..... After when i click elsewhere (like check, or manually find proxy option) than freezed, and i needed force close.... So, its unable to create, or send any bug report, because the stuck threads ruin the PS

No, everything is default. not use special options...

can you see if that crash maybe happening at a certain place? Is the last log line you see e.g. always the same?

and then you can not press any button in the GUI right?

I can press buttons, but if i start pressing any button, it will freezing, and only the force close help.... I tried to push the exit button when its happens, but the results is the same, freezed....

But its strange, that the threads is freezed, and i left the software alone, the automatic saving is working, and do the job, but thats all, not any other task running in the software.

Its full random, but seems it is very often happening, or how many threads stuck..... Now it stucked the full threads what i use... see:

Oh wait...400 threads? Isn't that a bit too much?

This is my "testing" i thought i testing before i say to you, so i tested it from 40 thread to 400 thread to try the "problem" thats exists.... But yes,  the problem its not related with the threads setup. My default settings is to use 100 thread.

But why cant the Proxy Scraper terminate the threads by itself?

@sven I confirm that i have experienced the same issue as @NetMajon with Proxy scraper, where the threads freeze, that is why i now manually restart it at least ones a day to ensure i get fresh scrapes.

Actually not only the scraper has this option but also GSA SER, and this has been reported MANY times, when you stop GSA SER there are often threads which does not stop or are frozen and even waiting half a day it remains frozen

I did a video showing how it is frozen -- watch full screen and in HD.

The next time i find it frozen i will try send a bug report and i will send you the remote desktop credentials so u can have a look

Yep, thats right.... The another thing, what you dont show on video, if i click elsewhere (not to the exit, click on the manually find, or check) the PS is freezing, turn the window white, and show me the force close window....

@royalmice yes, i see in the platform identifier the proxy stuck up problem too, but the PI can work well, even if it has stucked up threads, not freezing, only the exit is problem...

im working on this but its hard to fix something if i can not reproduce it here. do yu guys use the internal proxy server?

I think all settings is default..... I use rarely the manually add button, and the test buttons too..... 

My opinion (because this happens with multiple gsa products too), that there are some maybe "special" or "bad" proxy which stuck up (or has strange behaviour), if the gsa softwares find them, and want to use those (to check, or working with it, or anything), the gsa softwares cant exit from that bad proxies, because with the wrong proxy the gsa softwares entering an infinite loop, or something that, and the proxy not let the software to work normaly.

i see your updated the ps, thank you... Hope it will solve the problem.... Maybe  can you update with that strange proxy bug repair with all of the gsa softwares include PI? Because if you find the problem in PS, it will be great, that you can fix that in other gsa softwares too...

My guess is that the problem ion PI is totally different. It's not some kind of library where I found the issue that is used somewhere else.

@netmajon  Mine was running great for almost 24 hours but i just logged in a little over an hour ago and found it crashed, as in the below screenshot.

@sven i did submit a bug report whilst i was showing the error. You are welcome to log into the vps again if you wanted to take a look.

I have restarted it again and running fine now.
