check for updates not working ?

In PI when I click on "check for updates" nothing happens. No message at all. Is this okay so far ?
Which is the latest version ? 1.26 ?

    Yes, you will only get a message when an update is available. There will be a red text on the main UI letting you know to update when a new one is ready.

    Only when I start PI or if I click "check for updates" ?
    I get no reaction when I click on it. Nothing happens. Therefore I thought it doesn't work. Is 1.26 the latest version ?
    Also I get some errors from time to time called "stream read error". When this happens, I get multiple popups with this message. And I have the same "out of memory" error that the user kp55 told you: when I try to de-duplicate urls in the tools section.

    Yes 1.26 is the latest version. It will notify you when an update is available.
