main anchor text

Under the main anchor text field, it says, "this will be ignored if you use an anchor texts in the URL field". Does it ignore all variations of the main anchor text or just the exact match?

    sorry but what do you call exact match? With an URL you can add main and secondary anchor. If that is set, it will use them, else it will use the main/secondary anchor from the edit fields. It iwll of course also use the other anchor types even though something is set with the URL.

    Now I'm even more confused. Maybe it would be better if we start with the basic concept first. If, for example, I have a domain (dogtraining.com) in the URL field and enter "dog training" in the main anchor field, I assume it won't use that particular anchor text?

    it would use it if you enable it and the % you set applies here.
