what type of website would you develop if you were to invest somewhat good amount on it ?

Hi,

I am planning to develop a mid range website & want to spend around $12-13K & I would like to work on that as long as it needs like 1 year to get some return from that......do you know what type of website has the future for a long term return & staying there for a very long term....This whole fund for only one website & want to do the optimization slowly obeying Google's latest guidelines,having good content as the reviews.

I am planning for a combination of Affiliate & Review sites where on review section there will be Google adsense ads too.

Please don't call me an idiot!

    Do a well-built travel site. Look up siloing to help with the build (see 2Take2's info on here about siloing).

    Travel is easy for SEO if you have a good enough site. I ranked an insane holiday keyword in 2012, made the company a lot of money.
