Have You Heard Linking In The New Year 2015 News?
Apparently there are some key players in the industry who have been secretly talking about what google is doing in this new year regarding ranking.
Like linking is only a small factor, not as important anymore, in fact google ignores 90% of links placed out there, this is what they been saying so far, the sources of this so called leak, get their info from Matt Cutts and some other google employees, perhaps its just a scare tactic...
They went on to say, using programs like ours here and senuke is just not going to help you rank anymore... they are trying to get rid of spammers and blackhatters. So if google is ignoring negative seo, and most backlinks, how is one to rank in 2015 if SER, or senuke, or whatever isnt going to work?
Unless the big G is only going to count how good your content is, how else will they determine who deserves to get on that first page?
Lost of things have been discussed, like google not going to announce updates anymore, it will just be automatic, they are going to remain hidden and not let the public know what the updates are going forward going this new year..
What are your thoughts on this madness?

I am not as experienced as many on this forum. But the financial markets are rife with people predicting the inevitable collapse of the world markets. These people only have to be correct once and they are made for the rest of their careers. So every couple of months they will predict some large change. If they are correct they look great if they are wrong, nobody cares and they loose nothing. We have all heard about the patents but second guessing the internal workings of google is nigh on impossible.
That's not forgetting that Bing is (slightly) more important as of recent. And the ever increasing relevance of FB. Those with more experience than I, can point to a whole litany respected industry specialists predicting the change of the SEO landscape and yet...
And the other thing that occurs (to me) is that due to the size of google and it's place in everyday life, a seizmic change in the way the serps are calculated is almost impossible. A far more likely scenario would be a glacial like change from one algo to another. The pace would have to be slow enough that the average user would notice very little. In which case those in the seo industry would probably change tactics at a similar pace and not be particularly aware of the large shift.
ramble over : short version : the rug is going nowhere fast.
