Proxies - LPM

Are proxies important for LPM? 
Also are threads important for LPM? 
I can get around 30ish lpm for contextuals atm with my own global list, and max around 60 for junk tier which isn't too good to be honest.
My threads are usually maxed out at 130 for 10 semi-dedicated proxies. I'm wondering if more proxies (thus more threads) would play a big effect in increasing lpm?
Also, my CPU is currently at 4% usage, lol.
