windows server 2012 or 2008? Dedicated server running gsa ser+cb+sb

I am going to purchase a dedicated server during the next 3 days.
But I want to have everything ready so I do not loose any presious time after the server is ready.

So  the dedicated server comes with KVM
Whats best Windows server 2012 or 2008? 

I have a free licence for both through microsoft dreamspark, so the cost doesn't matter.

    I use windows 2008r2 standard on all my servers. Windows 2008r2 standard can use up to 32 gigs of ram as far as i remember. If your server have more than 32 gigs of ram you need 2008r2 enterprise or 2012.

    i vote for 2008.. i am using 2012 and 2008 but i always got the better VPM and LPM on 2008.
