Posting a lot of text in the "About me" section for forum profiles

Does anyone know if there is a maximum amount of characters for the "about me" section in forum profiles? And if so, what is the max for each forum platform?

I am interested in posting small (or full) articles in the "about me" section and then posting links in those articles.

    It says under the field in SER "Longest: 461 chars, 64 words". Not enough for a whole article. :)

    That length is just a suggestion. Some engines actually allow you to post very long texts there. Would be nice if someone can do a test and report back what engines allow what length of chars so I can properly update the scripts.
