for one of you geniuses

edited January 2013 in Need Help
hi there.  I have a specific question.  I use the software extensively.  I can't quite figure out how to set this up.

 I have a list of 1000 urls (I am going to split it up) all are in this format url##{spun anchor} and entered into the url field.  I can use this macro obviously %url% and %anchor_text% in my submission setup.

this pulls out a url from the url field and an anchor from the anchor text field

heres my problem

the anchor text would be keyword in random city

how can I setup the project so that the software would use the correct anchors

in my mind http://url/random city##{keyword in random city} would work if the software pulled %anchor_text% from the url field.

my urls are the http://main domain/keyword-random city-I have 1000 thousand or so of these

Please help as setting up 1000 projects isn't the way I want to go.

    Hmm let's see if I understood this correctly.

    1. make a text file with...

    http://www.some-url.com/cityxyz#{anchor_text1|anchortext2...}

    http://www.some-url2.com/cityxyz#{anchor_text1|anchortext2...}

    http://www.some-url3.com/cityxyz#{anchor_text1|anchortext2...}

    2. in project options you click the EDIT button next to the URL field and import that file.

    Thats all you have to do and the program will use the correct anchor text and URL together. You don't even have to enter a anchor_text in the field for the project if each URL has one defined.

  • I was hoping it was that simple.  thkx. I was under the impression that you either had to use keywords as anchor text or have a defined anchor text.  wow that was so simple.
  • hi everyone;  as stated- for one of you geniuses.  This was straightforward as I thought it was before I initially posted.  But this has always been the case for me. -- rather than the defined anchor text after ## in the url field the software continuously uses my keywords as anchor text.  I don't even want the software to use my keywords at all.
    This very important can some one please help.  thanks in advance.

    Than send me the project backup + sample URL where this happened.
  • hi there as usual; Sven is wonderful in case you guys haven't noticed.  it isn't the software.  It is the user.  Us senuke users are so used to ## but it is just #; kudos to Sven.  thanks again

    Your welcome ;)

    next version allows you to use ## as well. Though you better stick with the original format.
