who's ranking in competitive niches

I do loans.

no one except the big sites - NO ONE - is on page 1 for any of the biggest terms.

i rank top 5 for a very good term, and I can see perhaps 2 other sites ranking top 10 for very good terms as well but thats it - me and 2 or 3 others, and even then not for the best phrases.

so my question to you all is - are any of you making big money?

  • Define "big money"
  • anyone else?
  • I do it to keep me off the meths
  • davbel - strange, I do it to keep me on the meths!! ;)
  • I do gambling.

It's much harder after Google's recent updates. To reach top 10, I have to mix SER with handpicket SAPE links and a lot of 301's.

    I do:

    Stock market
    Survey
    Work at home

    Work fine ;)
  • What you mean by "301" ?
Are you buying expiried High PR domains and then redirect them or do you mean URL shortners and then make some GSA SER blast thru them ?
  • Yes, expired domains loaded with SER blast and high quality PR links from SAPE.
  • hi @vifa, how many links you need build for see results? i have one project with 14.000 verified links and i drop from page 6 to 10

vifa how long does it generally take to rank with this? My impression is it takes 2-3 weeks max. If I see.no changes I move on.
@kaine really after update? You are using redirrects?

@brainiac One of my project's has 17.000 verified links and 40 mixed PR 4-5 links.
  • @cafege I wait at least 1 month before I move on.
  • @vifa I would love to hear more about your 301 method Do you know of any training that walks you through step by step? I was looking the other day, but couldn't find anything.

Are you just sending the kitchen sink at your expired domains or being selective?

@BradM Everyone has their own methods when it comes to 301 redirect. One of the best sources on redirects addition to blackhatworld is blackhatunderground.
Get one or more domains with good authority and age. How many you need depends on how much competition there is.
I build only contextual links from SER to these and supplements with high PR links from SAPE with a Trust Flow around 30. Previously it was enough with just SER links, but now it seems that Google wants more authority in the juice.

This method also works well on web 2.0 properties.

Yep, high-profile niches are under extra scrutiny. Directly nuking you money-sites may work well in some niches, but when it comes to something like ranking a casino site, I stick to a Aged Domain + PBN / Totally clean money site.

GSA comes in on the next level. Thats where you start building buffers.

    Thats just me though.

ben_george, Yes. But I might be one of those 3 guys your keeping an eye on ;)

    @cefege

    I have totally stopped redirect.
  • Thanks @vifa. I just signed up for blackhatunderground. I currently do a lot of gray hat stuff, but not much black.

And just to make sure I read everything right you do something like this

GSA/SAPE >> Expired (PBN Style) Domain (301ed) >> Money Site or Web 2.0

Is that correct. And do you have a DA/PA or age threshold on your PBN site?
  • Yes @BradM it's correct.

I usually use expired domains that have pagerank ≥ 2 and are ≥ 4 years old and have a DA ≥ 20.
  • @Vifa Fantastic! Thanks!! I think I'm going to sign up for to sign up for the premium membership on BHU if this is the type of stuff covered.
  • is this more of a churn and burn method or do these 301'd sites never seem to get penalized? Do you find the 301 actually improves performance compared to just doing:

    GSA/Sape >> PBN (no 301s) >> Money Site

    Thanks

Hi, Quick question,I purchased a couple of expired domains with great DA and PA, in the attempt to pass link juice to my money site.. do you need to do the 301 in htaccess or just using the godaddy 301 tool will be enough?
    Thanks..
  • I'm currently testing churn & burn methods at this moment with 301 redirects,

my question I've been wondering is it ok to reuse the 301 after SER blasting it, or should I purchase a fresh expired domain?
  • I am ranking for some very good keywords in the forex market, and it only took me 2 months to get there.

I am nr 1 for 7-8 keywords that are low volume, but also ranking for a few keywords that have 2000-3000 searches pr month.

Curently sandboxes, but once i get Our it will be Christmas :)

Using SerEngines, and i can get around 8000-10000 web2.0 that i dripfeed over 120 days

  • @bnaimy
Are you using only that web 2.0 for your T1, and blasting tham with Gsa SER? Or also something else?
    Thanks
