@dmrt - It's entirely random honestly. They had to ask for reverification for the accounts that got compromised and you may have been lucky to get a batch of email accounts that weren't compromised and therefore perfectly fine.
HI Bandit, seems like a good deal an I'll be buying 5k to test them out.
I've been circling around GSA SER for a few months, and I think I"m getting most parts of it, but having a suceesful experience with emails I think is still the one thing that is not coming together for having sustained successful link building.
What is the difference in purpose between the general options screen where you configure whether you want to use proxies for email verification, and the project email settings dialog box where you tell it whether to use proxies?
And what are the situations where it is not advisable to use proxies for email checking, or where it doesn't really matter?
@tsgeric - Honestly, I would never check emails with a proxy. I think the proxies that would be accessing these accounts would look more suspicious to the email provider than simply using your own IP. I think most others recommend the same approach
I'm getting a number of email errors from emails purchased on 9/24 and 9/26(after the September 10 or 11 post here about passwords compromised). For one of my SER groups, about 40% of my projects has this error. Any suggestions?

@BanditIM - You should do a quick check on your inventory or cycle out older accounts. Out of the 3k I bought over the last 2 months I was receiving the password compromised error on all so I just bought 1k new ones hoping this would be fixed on new accounts.
Well, about 60% I've checked so far out of 300 new ones I just bought are bad as well. Kinda wishing I just went with yahoo accounts for the shittier link campaigns where quality emails isn't important to me.
@OldFusser - Going to inventory check now. Might be that these accounts are still affected by the hack recently, so may just have to take the hit and create new ones
Ok, so I ran through 500 of them and here are my conclusions:
1. A lot of the fails are resulting from Mail.ru's "false POP3 OK" message. This is explained in our FAQ, but there are a variety of false messages they sometimes get. The reason you're seeing 60% failed but seeing the "compromised password" message is because GSA only tells you the LAST error message it got -- which just so happened to be the "compromised password" message. This makes everyone believe that ALL the fails were caused by this, but that's not the case. I retested groups of my originally failed accounts and sure enough, over 50% of them tested fine the second time (as the FAQ states). All in all, I ended up with around ~20-25% dead from the compromised email message.
2. That being said, I'm going to bump the overdeliver rate for mail.ru accounts to 30% until all this compromised stuff flies over. This should be well enough to make sure you're still getting 100% of your order

Even with the new one's i got, I wonder if it is not related to the IP we log in with, they flag emails that were accessed by different IP's.
@azerta - As stated above, this is going to happen. We overdeliver enough though that you end up getting more successful accounts in the end anyways . I also used a different IP when I did POP3 tests, and I got the results I stated above.
"2. That being said, I'm going to bump the overdeliver rate for mail.ru accounts to 30% until all this compromised stuff flies over. This should be well enough to make sure you're still getting 100% of your order "
Thanks for this update. I also checked just 10 of my SER projects, and here's some details:
1. each project, I use 5 emails
2. those that had the 'password compromised' message:
3 SER projects had 1 email password compromised
6 SER projects had 2 emails password compromised
1 SER project had 3 emails password compromised
3. So that's 18 email accounts with 'password compromised' out of 50 mail.ru emails - 36%.
Will be ordering again, and hope I'll get fresher emails.
@royalmice - I assure you not ALL of your emails are coming up bad. Since your order was so large, I'll go ahead and credit your account 40% extra BIMs for that last order so you can purchase more. We're creating new accounts right now so hopefully this issue will be gone and done for soon enough.
Have been creating new accounts all day today and it appears Mail.ru has finally caught on . The freshly created accounts are giving the 'email compromised' message still. I will be uploading the accounts created today, and leave the overdeliver rate to 40% (which gives me a loss in profit...) until the DB runs out. After that, you're stuck with using Hotmail (yuck), or the expensive Yahoo.
In the meantime, over the weekend I'll be looking into other solutions to give you a better pricing. Sorry for the inconvenience everyone, it's completely out of my hands.
Yeah 87% of my accounts I ordered a week ago are dead having never used them.
Im fine with using yahoo or whatever, I just need stuff to work. However I just logged in and it says my account is suspended. Had a friend log in and their account is suspended.
Any reason why the accounts are just "suspended" out of the clear blue?
@loopline@Molex - Just getting through emails today. Usually don't work on weekends but I'll get you guys shaped up today so you can log back in.
@dmrt - I'm looking into other options. Right now we might be able to do nokiamail at $10/1k, but I know that's even expensive too. It's just so hard to create spam filter-disabled, and pop3 enabled these days. You won't find any provider that's cheaper
Hi @BanditIM, are yahoo emails not that prone to being deleted? How about providing some sort of yahoo recycling/disposable emails service? If I understand correctly, I can create disposable email/s from yahoo.
So something like:
1. offer 1k yahoo emails, with 1 disposable email each
2. we'll use those disposable emails in ser. (if no filters, it will still go to inbox and can also disable spam(?))
3. then after some x days, when I want new emails, or if I want to swap out the emails
4. from the 1k yahoo emails, delete/remove all the disposable emails
5. create another 1 disposable email for each of the 1k yahoo emails
6. use those new disposable emails(form the same/original email accounts)
Don't know though if and how this will work, or how it fits in the big picture(using proxies, etc).
@dmrt - Yeah Yahoo does offer disposable emails, we just haven't configured our bot to do this yet and also it could affect the account life since that might be seen as spammy. We're definitely considering it so we can offer accounts at a MUCH lower price.
I have noticed when testing the emails in GSA SER, some ( very little ) of the .RU, still seems to work. Does it mean that it is only the newly created accounts ( last month ) .RU accounts that are failing ?
I know @BanditIM just sent out an email explaining that the .ru emails are all getting banned by .ru themselves because of all the hacking. They see all the IP's from our proxies, and can only assume they are being hacked. This applies to all providers. The service is banning itself.
Like @BanditIM said in his email, Yahoo is the best option right now. They all work great, so no issue there. The best advice I can give you guys is get Yahoo and throw away all the .ru's.
It's not his fault. Blame the Russians. They're eating their own children, lol.
Well.. Im looking forward to purchasing some Yahoo emails. Hopefully you get some added to the site today. I wish I would've purchased some yesterday when I had the chance >:P
@ron - Thanks for helpin out ron. No better way to put it. It sucks that Yahoo is the only good provider because they're so darn expensive, but they are the ones that stay alive the longest now so we have no choice.
@xdigital - Will be uploading another fresh batch in about an hourish.
We are back at it with Mail.ru after fixing the security issues. Prices have increased slightly, but they are still the cheapest email provider on the market currently. Enjoy

We overdeliver by 10% now on Mail.ru to help cover most of the banned ones though
