Removing Parentheses Around Anchors

How do I remove parenthesis and dashes around anchors in articles?  Or at least set it so maybe it appears 50% of the time and 50% of the time it doesn't.

I'm using custom spintax in auto_anchor.dat, and auto_anchor-article.dat and it seems to make no difference.

    Indeed thats added automatically if you use the option to have the generic/domain anchor together with the other anchor texts.
