Questions About Pinging
I hope @sven can give a detailed answer on this. Under options/indexing I have the checkbox ticked to "Submit backlink URLs to blog search engines" - i.e. pinging.
1) In this thread https://forum.gsa-online.de/discussion/2134/failed-to-ping Sven mentions that we need to have "Send Links to Verified Indexer Service" selected in order for links to be pinged. Is this true?
2) Are all types of links pinged?
3) If 1 is true, Sven will you make a separate option to have links pinged and another for "Other Indexer(s)"? Or just make it so all links are pinged. This is because the indexing service I use is expensive. I only want my higher quality Tier1 links sent to indexing, but I would like all links pinged. I have tried using the filters through Options based on PR and dofollow, but that doesn't cut it.
Thanks,

1) Yes
2) No, just Comment engine types of links (Blog, Trackback, Pingback, Image Comments)
3) Sorry but I don't see a use in pinging every link e.g. forum profiles. Search Engines will not take that.
I have performed experiments using Magic Submitter to create wikis with its internal pinging on and off. Without pinging I would get 1% indexing. With pinging 10%+, so pinging definitely still helps with getting contextual content seen and indexed.
It would be good if you could give us the ability to ping contextual submissions.
