I want only one post per domain, and have unchecked "Allow posting on the same domain again" and "constantly try to post to a site even if it failed before", but still see multiples in the verified links report for a freshly created and started project.

How to make it not post to a domain already with a verified link?, if it's doing two between submission and verification... guess not possible..

    Check the links when they are showing up in the Verified URL's box, what you will likely find is they are different types of links on the same domain.  For example you may post an article but you will also create an author profile thus giving you 2 links.

    To stop this look in the project and look at the Options tab for "types of links to create" and you will see the different types so you can deselect types of links you do not want i.e. profiles and then you should stop getting multiple links.

    Understood thanks, would be nice to have a more true method of ensuring only one verified link was made to a site.
