.tmp files in site list

I have noticed that GSA Ser have created several gb of .tmp files in my site-list folders. They seem to be created after running a clean dup file task
Maybe @sven or someone can advise what those .tmp files are for and if it is OK to delete them. Have not tested it but I am also wondering if the .tmp files are also counted when checking stats ?

Thanks

The tmp file is the original site list file before the cleanup of that engine/tpe is done. New entries get stored to the original file (without .tmp). If you see them in the folder then SER crashed or was shut down before the tasked finished.

    Hi @Sven

    Thank you for the answer.
So to ensure i did not lost any links because of a crash or abort - would the best solution be to merge the tmp files with the original and then do a delete dups.

    Thanks
