SB Alive checker on urls for GSA

If a url is redirects to the a 404/302/301page etc does GSA still try to look to see if it can create an account or make a post on another page onthe site?

Now running some old list through SB  alive checker and i'm seeing a lot of the actual urls are no longer their but the domain is still alive  with other post etc..

Anyone know the answer?

    Ive tested it and the answer is: it depends.

    If you have 404 page with some elements of the CMS intact, then yes SER will try to post. If this is 404 without specifics or some other error with no recognisible parts then SER likely won't be posting there.
