Merging Projects & Feature Request

I'm busy simplifying my VPS setups and consolidating projects and just need a little advice on something.

I have a project with 100 verified article URL's. I want to import these verified URL's as well as the account data for this project INTO another project.

Do I just go to the project that I want, and then select import account data from another project?

Questions:
1) Will this pull in all the usernames and passwords?
2) Will it pull in all the details you find on the show urls --> Verified screen of the previous project? (i.e. anchor text, platform, date, etc)
3) Will the verified of the project increase to reflect the imported verified URL's? (Or do you have to run the project to do so?)

Basically I want to merge the 2 or 3 projects into 1 master project.

Any help is appreciated.

You can simply do the following...

copy project1.* + project2.* to project_combined.* (with * I mean each ending except *.prj files).

@sven - Would this be a feature that could be added? I will take a look at the files to merge this today, but am no coder.

I see this as a very useful feature. You keep a master project for a website. Then you can run a number of specialised projects, like getting PR4+ blog comments manually, or high articles, or anything specific, or only get some generic anchor text links if you need.

THEN when you have done what you need you can MERGE that project into the master...thus keeping your GSA setup neat without having 100's of projects. Also - it helps you measure your stats, like anchor text diversity and link types, etc.

This would allow some awesome targetting as you can setup micro projects and then merge them in. Also - it helps you measure your stats, like anchor text diversity and link types, etc. Would be some great fine tuning!

  • +1 on this feature - this level of control would really help identify the real quality sites out there and save them to master projects for later manipulation...
  • +1 great idea

@Sven - awesome! This merge feature will be incredible. It will just let you run highly targetted projects and then merge them. Can't wait!
  • Hi.

I have tried to use the merge projects feature, but it only merge the submitted/verified url log, but it doesnt merge the project data.

Is there a way to merge 100 projects (with anchortext specified for each project) into one project?

Sorry but thats not planned and I will not add it as it might create wrong data. Usually you merge projects who already use the same content.
