  • Hunar correct, latest version, but i did not had any problems with previous version as well...
  • Hey, guys, how's your CPU usage since last version?
Now, even on 50 threads, SER uses up to 50% of my CPU. Couple of weeks ago it used to use the same on 200 threads. Now if I make it to 100 threads it uses up to 80% of CPU by itself

Mines been fluctuating between 35 - 75% at 300 threads. No real concern for me. image
  • @xdigital on what configuration is this?
  • @sven deff apperciate you looking into the Download failed problem I tried the latest update on all my servers it's still there. :(

@Hunar - I gave @Sven my lists and my proxies - he's working on it.
  • Just to pipe in here, I run 125, 150 and 175 threads on three of my servers and get 150LPM using only lists and only scraping. Lower your threads guys...
  • Even I started to get more download filed than before. Even that before everything was fine for me...
    V8.56
  • All i see today is download failed. The LPM was atleast 40% better in the 6. versions. Its going on decreasing.
  • same getting plenty of download failed
  • I'm getting a lot of download failed too but when I manually open the websites that SER fails to download, they load fine. The proxies are good too.

@Hunar and all others having download faileds, I think @cherub may very well be on something here. It may be related to DNS.

It may be worth to at least try to change your current DNS solution and see how things will unfold.
  • @Nikodim‌ I've tried it several times with the same results.
  • i was going to ask about this... im getting a lot of download failed also recently.

I ran v8.57 last nite (there is an even newer version that is supposed to be better according to @sven). Here are my results:

    Run time: 9.5 hrs
    LPM = 225 LPM
    Verified Links = 60,000

This has to be the probably the best performance I have ever had. Now according to Sven, he made some tweaks to the newest version that make it even better.

On v8.57 I had very few download faileds (which by the way were always there even when times were good a month ago or so). And as you can see, I did not suffer in performance. So I think Sven has fixed this issue.

Let us know what you find.

  • Yep, same here.  My LPM is above 200+ whereas before the patch it was hovering only at 30.  It seems the issue has been fixed, awesome!
  • before blaming us, please just check your download failed list. usually, you have a tons of sites which are full of spam and they are loading very slow even on your browser (which runs with 1-4 threads) or they are already dead.
