Limit simultaneous connections to mail server

edited May 2014 in Feature Requests
When using a self-hosted catchall and setting projects to verify ser will try to connect to the mail server all projects at once resulting in login errors.

e.g. My email host allows 3 simultaneous connections and no more. It would be great if there was an option to set how many simultaneous connections ser will use for mail checking to the same server in order to stop.

I am using the time to wait between logins, but the information seems not to be shared between projects so ser just hammers the server.

It would be nice either to be able to limit the number of connections or for ser to apply the pop server time to wait globally per server, and not per project.

That option is actually shared between projects.
  • hmm, weird - I have the first tick checked, the number set to 300 and the last box unchecked. Will try increasing the number to see what happens.
  • Ok, 300 is just too short. Setting it to 900 eliminates all errors.
