Error while updating to version 8.38

I just got my copy of GSA which is Version 8.35 and installed the same when I brought, today when I opened my GSA SER it prompted me to update to new version and I did the same, but after downloading and installing it showed me errors. It promoted with ".dll" error saying it cannot to write the ".dll" and then it said not write even "ser.exe" file as well.

How can I update my version, do I need to uninstall existing version and download new version and then install every time there is an update. This would be tedious. Or Is that ok if I ignore both .dll and exe errors?

    it is still running in background. Try to kill it with taskmanager or reboot if nothing helps.

    Hi,

    Thanks, I tried everything. GSA was running but after downloading it automatically closed and then installation begun. While doing it prompted with the "Cannot write to Libeay32.dll", and recommended to "Retry", though there was an option to "Ignore", then I just tried to delete the old dll file which continued the process and then it prompted with "Cannot write to libssl32.dll", again I delete the old "libssl32.dll" then the installation continued and finally it prompted me with "cannot write to Search_Engine_Ranker.exe", I was just surprised, I even deleted this exe and it finished.

    But when I loaded after the installation, the programming was not showing quick help tip which it used to for all the areas. I mean when you point to any option it pops up with message beneath showing help about the section. This got missed after the process, then I just uninstalled and installed back 8.35 which came properly.

    I did tried everything not sure, am now thinking how do I update the program in long run?

    Maybe a virus checker is interferring on updates.

    Well, am not sure.

    I use Comodo Internet Security, I tried everything to set but I did not get the exact way to set, it. I tried to install after making smaller changes to comodo but still the problem repeats. This time I tried to Ignore both dll file and exe errors after that the set up prompted some critical error and did not install. It showed "IPpersistFile:Save failed;code 0x80070005" with option "OK", it appeared about 3 or 4 times and then it said Installation did not complete exit set up will roll back the installation.

    Not only this GSA Captcha too has error when I run one of the test campaign, I suspect this all because of Comodo Internet but am not able to set the comodo to allow these things. I did add to the firewall and antivirus section but am not sure why does this again blocks.

    I could just disable comodo for some time and install but that would not be the solution as every time I run or install updates or run GSA then I need to disable, it is something funny.

    Can you anyhow help.? Not sure what to do.
