PR Checking - Wrong?

So I've just started running GSA SER and have three verified links. I stopped there to check them. GSA has them as PR 5,6 and 9. Doing a manual PR check has led to PR 2,0 and 0.

Why is this happening?

  • Are you sure both you and SER are checking the PR of either the root domain or current page? It sounds a lot like SER is checking the pr of the root domain and you're checking the pr of your verified url.

yes, SER gets the data directly from G. ...I can't see any issue here unless the PR is from some cache

    (URL|PR).

  • Well for instance, this is one verified link (hope this isn't breaking forum rules):

    yuac.cafe24.com/zbxe/?document_srl=899222

SER states this is PR6. Checking manually says that the root is PR 1.

Not sure if I'm going wrong here or...
  • OK I've just realised I've been stupid - the root is cafe24.com which is PR6. But yuac.cafe.com is PR 1. Surely this isn't passing much link juice through the backlink?

You can change that behavior in project options to take the subdomain for PR.
