VPS Question

edited November 2012 in Need Help
I'm thinking about using a VPS service for GSA as I'm leaving my computer on pretty much all day at the moment.
Looking at the Berman VPS for their basic package,
  • 1 x 3.40Ghz CPU
  • 1GB Guaranteed RAM
  • Unlimited Monthly Traffic
  • 100Mbps Bandwidth
How many campaigns can this setup run effectively? Thanks in advance.

    Get the 2gb one... don't bother with the 1st option. I use the 2gb option very nicely. Works like a charm with 100 threads.
  • I was on the Extreme plan, and found it ok at first, to begin with, but it soon started to struggle. If you're just starting off with GSA, then a VPS will do, but if you're going to put in any major work, a dedicated server is a better option in my opinion.

    @doubleup

    1) What are you paying for a dedi?
    2) How many threads are you running on it?
  • I have dedi with Windows. OVH, KIMSUFI - take without license. Then install Yours (I use windows XP, for 40usd)

    Which one of the Kumsufi ? KS R-8G ?

    What kind of load can it take for your GSA SER campaigns ?

    Have you tried loading VMware or VirtualBox on it ?

    How much does your dedi cost?
