How to promote YouTube videos

I am running a project to promote a YouTube video and have been looking at the list of verified links.  One of the problems I see is that the links are to the domain (http://www.youtube.com/) and not my particular video.

WHY???!!?

Should this not have failed verification?

 

As an aside, I am still trying to promote by embedding the video.

    Go to Options of your project, and select option "Verified Links must have exact URL".

    You should be fine then.
