GSA SEO Indexer with or without proxy

Title says it all, should i run it with or without a proxy. Without a proxy, it runs much much faster but what are the downsides of it?

    I don't think you have to use proxies here. The sites are all safe and harmless.

    i was reading this - so you don't HAVE to use proxies for GSA indexer?

    I don't see a reason for it to be honest.

    there is no issue if you are using your main IP - you won't be detected/identified as spam if you use your IP? @sven

    well the sites in that software are all safe and I can't see why someone would tag that as spam. But you never know.

    thanks i'll keep that in mind. i thought proxies were necessary, i deactivated mine, hope it won't cause any harm
