Better Filters for the Log Window

You recently answered some questions along this line, but this is just a little more specific...
1) I would still like to see a filter by message type. This allows us to find the major errors quickly. Granted, we will also need to see the context, but if the currently selected line stays in the same place when you switch back to show all entries, then this will allow the best of both worlds.
2) Filtering by severity would help a lot, as recently suggested by Ferryman when I posted in the wrong section:

Would still very much like to see this feature, or better yet, a summary of the number of times each error is happening.
For example, it would be MOST helpful to see how many "download failed" messages are happening, when tuning LpM.
