Target URL cache not decreasing

I have created a project to run through a list of URLs that I have - about 300K. I have imported these URLs using import target URLs from file.

No search engines are checked, Posting to global site lists is not enabled. "URLs linking on verified URL" is also unchecked.

Before starting project I checked count and it was matching the imported count. After running for 1 hr, I was expecting to see a lower number since SER would have processed some URLs in that time.

BUT I am actually seeing the count increase. Now it is at 330K - a 10% increase. I fail to understand how or what is causing this? 

Please suggest what I should look into

    do you have scheduled posting option enabled? This would explain it as SER keeps adding new sites to submit to where a new account could be created.

    Yes I do have scheduled posting enabled.

    In that case, is there a way to find out if the first batch of 300K URLs is processed. If not, I will try it without scheduled posting

    no, you will not see it as the list is usually sorted.
