Active (V) vs. Emails only

what is the difference? I dont understand what it means.

    verify only will check both emails (for confirmation links and account passwords) and submitted links (if link is actually live)

    emauls only will check just the emails.

    Okay, so instead of just activate/confirm links, it also goes thru your list to make sure said verified links are STILL active, correct?

    previously verified links get only rechecked if you have the option in project enabled to do so (unchecked by default).
