Public or private proxies?

I'm just using this for the first time. I see the form to fill out proxies but heard that private proxies will get banned quickly and the public proxies work better here. Is this the case? And what would happen if I choose not to use any proxies at all?

    If you dont use any proxies at all you will get complaints, and eventually either your IP will be blocked - or your host will disable your service.

    As for pub VS priv for this tool, I cant comment. I stick to SER ;)
