Setting up automatic switching of project groups

I have 5 projects. Each project contains levels 1, 2, and 3. How do I set up group uploads? For example, I group all level 1 projects and run them. Once 100 triggers are reached, all level 1 projects are paused, and the level 2 projects in the group are run automatically, and so on. How do I set up this automatic upload?

Most “Where to Submit” engines seem inactive today

Hello everyone,

Sorry if some of this might not be 100% accurate — I’m not an expert. I just tried to collect information here and there on the web because I was struggling to understand why some of the “Where to Submit” engines in GSA SER were not producing any links anymore.
I hope it’s okay to share what I noticed, and maybe it can help others too.

From what I understand, many of the old engines (especially forum scripts and CMS platforms) simply don’t work in 2025. They either don’t exist anymore, or the websites using them have switched to modern protections like Cloudflare, JavaScript checks or login systems that GSA SER can’t bypass.

For example, engines like phpBB, SMF, vBulletin, XenForo, IPBoard, Joomla Blog, Drupal Blog, Wordpress Article, BuddyPress, and many article directory scripts — they just don’t allow automated posting anymore. Most of them require JS, or captcha steps that SER can’t handle, or have closed registrations completely.

The same seems to happen with many old directory scripts, gallery scripts, video CMS, social network clones, Q&A scripts, guestbooks, classified ads scripts, and so on. They used to work years ago, but today almost all installations have either been abandoned, shut down, or protected behind systems that block bots.

Because of this, even if the engines are still listed inside SER, in real life almost none of them generate backlinks anymore. I’m not saying this to criticize — just trying to understand why my projects weren’t producing anything, even with good proxies, good emails and the correct setup.

Personally, I think SER still has a lot of potential, but maybe the submission engines need to be updated with newer platforms that still allow automated posting today.
Only a few engines still work consistently (things like MediaWiki, DokuWiki, TikiWiki, simple blog comments, public bookmarks, rentry.co, etc.). Everything else looks “alive” in the interface, but in practice doesn’t produce results.

So this is just my humble opinion, as a normal user:
maybe it’s time to add new engines to match the modern web, because most old engines simply don’t work anymore.

Hello all! I have an engine where I need to verify a link by email after submitting with [STEP]. Is there a way to do this? Does Ser only perform an email verification after [REGISTER_STEP*] or can I make it perform an e-mail check whenever?

Verifying by a different variable

This might be a dumb question. However, I am creating my own engine and my verification url does not contain any html urls nor any text urls. Is there a way to check if a verification url contains a different variable such as %article% or %article-title% and then verify that url if it contains that variable? I can't seem to get this to work

I've been noticing Moodle backlinks showing up in some backlink profiles recently, but trying to submit to them using the SER engine was unsuccessful. So I've reworked and rewritten some of the engine, with different identification, some new footprints and focusing it entirely on blog post articles. I've not had much time to finesse it, but this engine should give you a better verified rate: https://gofile.io/d/gKVoaV

There are many Moodle sites out there, but you'll need to go through a load of them to find any that will show public blog posts.

Of course, if you're happy with the current Moodle engine then keep a backup of it before using this one.

Hello Sven,
I would like to ask, if it is somehow possible to create (and schedule its running) the script, that will take care about the GSA SER maintenance? I would expect something like this:
1)Stop all running projects
2)Wait until they will be really stopped
3)After the moment, when all projects got stopped, all unused accounts will be removed, as well as all submitted and verified URLs not to keep them in RAM
4)Check the count of proxies, when it got aborted, all unchecked and not functional proxies got deleted and from selected sources will be added proxies and tested afterwards.

When the script got to point 4 (prior it), projects will again be started (proxies scanning and adding goes on the background in the meanwhile).

If something like that is possible to make only by usage of GUI with mouse clicking or opening of the menus, that might not be such bad, if you would be able to advise my some mouse recording app to perform these steps. I see that not everyone use the same resolution of the display.

And I would finaly schedule in my OS run of such script e.g. each day at 7am, so I would be able to verify, whether everything went fine, so I do not waste the system resources running the server without running GSA SER and related applications well.

I'm procrastinating on yet another project and have spent my lunch break on a little engine I noticed some sites using. It posts an article as a question on sites powered by DW Question & Answer. I'm only targeting the unprotected installations, I haven't bothered with versions where you have to create an account and login etc. But there are still plenty of domains out there using it.

As usual, copy the .ini file from the Engines directory into your Engines directory, and copy the .ico file from the Icons directory into your Icons directory.

I posted this in Trade section but it seems that it's cut out from main feed. Afraid no-one will see it there. So:

One of the SER engines that I use seems to have changed and SER is not doing a good job with it. Though I see others successfully posting there. I looked into its code and urls are wrong, so probably engine developers are fighting to keep posters away. Can anyone update it for me as a paid service? I could do it myself but don't have any time.

Here's a new engine I've scripted that will submit on sites using an Instagram bio linktree-type script. I thought I was going to be able to get a contextual link in there, but html gets stripped out of submitted text so the best I could do was an anchor text link. But you can cram an article in there too for relevance. I've also built in some randomisation into the page designs.

Also included is a CB definition for the captcha that sometimes shows up (other than recaptcha).

As an early Xmas present here are a few new engine scripts. First we have Yclas, which is what Open Classifieds evolved into a few years ago. Contextual links from articles posted as classified ads. Mostly nofollow, but I've seen a few dofollow links in there too.

Second we have 2 web2.0 parasites I've seen in backlink profiles. Both have no need for email verification (I managed to bypass the step on one of them completely) and so use random email addresses for registration.

This engine is something different, as it doesn't actually build links. Instead it will complete contact forms powered by ContactForm7, the popular Wordpress plugin. This might not be to everyone's interest, but I just wanted to show that SER is very versatile and can be used for other things not involving link building. Installation

How to use
Create a new project, clear the 'where to submit' window by right clicking > check none, then select the checkbox next to the 'Email' icon. This is a new engine type created for the ContactForm7 engine. Now fill in your settings. Place a dummy url in the url field and some dummy keywords in the keywords field, these won't be used by the engine. To customise the email that you will send you need to fill in data for the Senders Email, Senders Name, Email Message and Email Subject fields. 'Senders Email' defaults to a random email address for each submission, but you can specify what you want if you wish. 'Senders Name' also defaults to a random name but you can add whatever you want. 'Email Message' and 'Email Subject' are the main ones you should edit, they can be spun text, macros, any standard SER options and syntax.

You should disable verification in the project options, as there will be nothing for SER to verify. Instead, when the project is running and submitting contact forms the successful submissions will come up in the usual window. Remember though, there's no way to tell whether someone actually reads the emails that get sent, we can only log that a submission was made.

I got problem since GSA last update. Before update I was using engine wordpress article and it was working as well. Then update come and it is going like this, GSA starting with register accounts then verifying mail are all success. But it wasnt directing to the page where it should be, like to login page as well then doing post job but to http://mafia.montford.xyz/wp-login.php?checkemail=registered. So it came up with no form at all. I guess to do something with my wordpress site to solved by redirecting http://mafia.montford.xyz/wp-login.php?checkemail=registered with manual script or even plugin help to come to wp-login.php but it came with nothing. Look at the picture for the detail problem.
