What are you using for a rank tracker?

edited February 2013 in Other / Mixed
GSA is a beast, what software are you all using to keep track of your rankings - anything to avoid?  Would love to see one of these incorporate youtube rankings.

    I use SERPbook so I don't have to deal with proxies, but that's a monthly fee. I know a lot of users SEO Powersuite Rank Tracker. There is also John Ledgers new Accu Rank Tracker that's pretty cheap.

    i was gonna use serpbook but prices are double of what they should be
  • i am using market samurai, but since they stopped using google for some things, i can't really vouch for it no more as a rank tracker.
  • I used market sam, but no google = no dice.  Using Seopower suite as a trial right now seems to freeze a bit (java based).  Anyone have any experience with the inspyder rank tracker?
  • Yes inspyder is good. Scheduler, automates things, sends email reports.
  • I highly recommend Rank Tracker plugin by SB. Works like a charm and updates anytime you want it to.

    I'm pretty sure MS uses Google for rank tracking. The issue was in the other modules not rank tracking module.

    Can anyone advise on:

    Anybody actually used it? It looks really useful, but don't want to spend time loading it only to find it has major flaws.
  • We use both Ranktracker from Linkassisstant for random checks and small sites (with a bunch of private proxies ~100) and Serpbookfor whitelabel clients and our corporate sites.

    Both are great, but Serpbook is off-the-hands.

    @mmtj - what do you use to track number of backlinks created? I want to ensure it's a steady growth of them, and it seems ranktracker doesn't do this.

    @globalgoogler - I use https://ahrefs.com/ and love it. :P

    I get some nasty reviews about link-assistant rank tracker. They seem to sucker you in with a product with 6 months updates and then you need to pay a monthly fee of $20. Just as well I Googled around a bit!
  • RT is a one off payment.

    We use Ahrefs.com too.

    Is there any good free tool for this ?

    @mmtj - Yep.....RankTracker is the most affordable, cheap solution and works just as well as the more expensive solutions. At a $20, one time payment, your not going to beat the value!

    @s4nt0s and mmtj - Do you guys pay for the service or only use the basic free level?

  • ahref is free and great for your own sites.

    To check Ranks > RankTracker Addon for Firefox
    To check backlinks > http://ahrefs.com you only have 10 requests for free accounts
    And the best free one is http://majesticseo.com
  • I use positionly, it also has an iphone app. I also use seorankmonitor $40 a month for 2500 keywords.

    rank tracker from link assistant is not one time payment..You need to pay extra for what they called 'search engine algo updates'...Its around $50 every year..http://www.link-assistant.com/prices.html#search-algo-updates
    without algo update your tracker is basically useless :-)
  • Check out http://rankcheckerace.com/ . You can load in your keywords and it will check every day automatically and send you an email report which you can schedule. You can load up to a 1000 keywords absolutely free. Never been easier!

    @senty4love - totally found out just before I was buying. Once I checked on the chat they confirmed there is update fee. It was around $40 per month not $50 per year for enterprise.
  • +1 for Ahrefs for checking links.  I've got subscriptions for Ahrefs, Seomoz and Majestic and Ahrefs is by far the best.
  • @Globalgoogler...$40 per month is for powersuit [that includes all 4 softwares] while if u just buy rank tracker its $50 per year or $7 per month
  • @velocityyeah thats a good one, have been testing it for a couple of days.
  • AlexRAlexR Cape Town
    @velocity & @rodol - can that tool track backlinks?
  • nop just SERP

  • I use LightSERP.com. Very slick interface and half the price of serpbook. Only disadvantage is that you can't track rankings beyond postion 120
  • MorphManMorphMan British Expat lost in S.E Asia
    I use serplab.co.uk it's free and does a great job!
