Submitted urls... are they completely useless or not?

I recently bought GSA so I'm still studyng and testing all the very numerous features and option.
Until now, I was thinking that "submitted" urls were completely useless, but when i take a look of the list of submitted links of my project, I can read for many of them "awaiting account verification".
What does it mean? There is an (even little) possibility that some of the submitted urls can transform in "verified" urls (maybe after this account verification) or not?
In other words: can I simply ignore all the submitted urls, taking into account only the verified urls for build my tiers?
