Backlinks to http and https version of url

Hi Sven,

I can see that the backlinks are randomly directed  to https and http even though the url selected is of https.

is there parameter or is this being taken care internally.?

In my case since website is using SSL, any backlink to http version of website will be of no use.

    you mean that some backlinks build are with http:// instead of the https:// ?
    Thats only happening for some engines as they do not understand https:// links. They would create http://https://. So I change it for those engine to create http:// links sorry.

    Ok. so it is better with http than a wrong url
