Pull keywords from file macro

@sven

I have over 100 projects on same niche and I use the same keyword list for all the projects in the niche.
The problem is each keyword list is about 20,000 keywords, so as you can imagine this is slow to import each time and it also bloat my data base, and slow down loading of GSA SER.

Can you please tell me what macro to use for keywords  in project data tab so it will pull random keywords from a file on the pc.

Sorry if this was answered somewhere else allready.

    I have been going thru the macro guide.
    Can i use this in the keyword field :   %file-<filename>%
    %file-c:\my_keywords\1-keywords.txt%  Will that pull a random line from the keyword file ?

    you better put it one keyword a line and use spinfile macro
  • spintax works aswell

    Thanks @sven

    So if i use this: %spinfile-<filename>%   it will select a random keyword from the file, keywords in the file will be one per line.

    wow this is going to reduce my gsa data base by almost half GB. -- cool

    @kp55

    my file with kw is allready one per line, and i am adding to it daily so %spinfile-<filename>% makes more sense.

    yes should work fine
  • sorry to post on old thread but seemed more relevant than opening new one

    if I use in keywords textbox
    %spinfile-c:\gsa\words1.txt%  %spinfile-c:\gsa\words2.txt%
    it will be getting randomly from the 2 files

    The question is
    will it know not to use same combination of words twice (when used for finding targets) ??
    or will it get already used combination which will be duplicating work done and wasting time ?
  • SvenSven www.GSA-Online.de
    If you use this in one field, it will use different combinations. However you can be sure if you use the macro %spinfile2% which is not keeping previous selection in mind.
  • Sven great, thanks for answer as always fast and to the point

    sorry for the trouble but there was no mention of spinfile2 in the docu
