catch-all mail

edited January 2013 in Need Help
If I use a catch-all mail, I want to use different catch-all domains for varity and to avoid getting banned.

Will
it be any help to create subdomains (with different ips) like sub1.catch-all-domain.com,
sub2.catch-all-domain.com, so I can create mail adresse like
catch-all@sub1.catch-all-domain.com, catch-all@sub2.catch-all-domain.com.

Will this be any better than just using the main domain without subs ?

  • I truly don't think that will help as you still have the same domain.  What I have found to be successful is to purchase several domains-forward all unrouted email to the catchall from the domains-this way you only have one configuration on the email tab (the catchall domain)-check delete message when the verification link was found-check delete message if older than (I use 1 day)-in the email field on the data tab use %spinfile-names.dat%{.|-|_}%spinfile-lnames.dat%%random-1965-1990%@{domain1|domain2|domain3|catchall domain}. Personally I have found this to be most effective as you don't have to configure as much say if you where using prominent email addresses;moreover you can get these domains relatively cheap ie .info, .us etc, etc; hope it helps
  • Thanks a lot :)
